Why
OUR RESEARCH MISSION
FTCI believes deeply in the value of evidence-based practice and high quality research. We work with academics and other researchers to support the growing field of financial therapy. Our priority is to show that financial therapy and collaborative care leads to financial behavior change, emotional healing, and relationship growth.
Our research process includes anonymous self-reported data from clients on their emotional, financial, and relational well-being. We measure change longitudinally at time of intake, time of termination, and 3 months post termination in order to see if change is continued over time.
This research fills a significant gap in current financial therapy research and we plan on continuing to show the importance of financial therapy treatment in healing our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors around money.
